On the cross-correlation of ternary m-sequences of period 34k+2 − 1 with decimation 34k+2 − 32k+1 +2/4 + 32k+1

In this paper, for an integer k, we evaluate an upper bound for the cross-correlation of a ternary m-sequence of period N = 3^4k+2 - 1 and its decimated sequence with decimation d = 3^4k+2 - 3^2k+1 +2/4 + 3^2k+1. It is found that the cross-correlation is upper bounded by 4.5 · 3^2k+1 + 1.
