The use of modifiers in fuzzy systems and their hardware implementation

After a discussion about the nature of the sets of linguistic labels for making possible the correct organization of concepts in the rule bases of fuzzy systems, we introduce a study on the use of modifiers, their classification and relevance in the conception of the fuzzy systems, with regard to the validation of the functionality of general purpose fuzzy processors. We also present efficient fuzzy architectures which are able to implement in specific hardware the logic modifiers employed to build fuzzy models.
