Application of intelligence optimization algorithm in curriculum schedule arranging of Phased teaching

Arranging of curriculum schedule is called timetable problem, which is a typical combination optimization problem and uncertain management problem, resolving the conflict of resource. It is a tough problem for university, which has been studied for several years. Courses Timetabling Problem has been proved a NP-completion problem in 1970's. It's easy to make mistake to arrange curriculum schedule by hands, so it should be done by computer. In recent year, there are some intelligence optimization algorithm have been applied to resolve problem. In this study, the advantages and disadvantages of various algorithms has been compared, in order to choose the properly effective algorithm to arrange the courses schedule, according to conditions. But, the study of arranging curriculum schedule for Phased teaching seldom is limited. Curriculum schedule of the special major, which contains Phased teaching course is been arranged by hand. An intelligence optimization algorithm has been applied to arrange the timetable of these special major.
