Dynamic EDFA gain spectrum equalizer using temperature controlled optoceramic filter array

The dynamic gain spectrum equalization of EDFAs using an array of optoceramic filters with controlled temperature dependency is presented. By using feedback or feed-forward control scheme, ripple in the EDFA gain bandwidth can be kept below 0.8 dB over the entire C-band.
