Study on the imaging and location of the Bistatic-SAR based on the LRD algorithm

Bistatic synthetic Aperture Radar (Bistatic SAR) uses seperated transmitter and receiver flying on different platforms, which has several advantages like ability to obtain rich information, long operating distance, high security, capability of anti-jam, etal. All these advantages make it hot in international researches in recent years. Imaging mechanism is investigated. The general geometry and signal models of Bistatic SAR are built fir stly. The algorithms commonly used in SAR imaging processing are Range-Doppler(RD), Omega-K, Back Projection(BP), and so on. LRD algorithm has several advantages, such as high speed of imaging. So LRD algorithm is wiely used in SAR imaging. Because of the complexity of the geometrical relationship of the Bistatic-SAR. However, as the transmitter and receiver ranges are independent in the bistatic case, a double hyperbolic range equation results, which leads to a double square root in the range equation.
