New closed form expressions for predicting the effect of the propagation environment in PCN cellular planning

Expressions are given for the analysis of the impact of the propagation environment in PCN planning. The limitations imposed by the radio channel in the quality of service and cell capacity are examined, for both micro and macrocellular communications. The quality of information requirements for PCN optimal planning are also quantified.
