Application of chaos in sonar detection

Chaos research is the industry's hot.This article analyzes the current possible applications of chaos in sonar detection. Two methods are proved the feasibility in sonar detection: using Holmes-type Duffing oscillator for simulation of weak signal detection on account of Chaotic sensitivity to initial conditions; to detect the transient signal according to the sudden changes of prediction error in chaotic background. New ways are provided to improve the abilities of sonar detection and target identification.
