Time-dependent reliability analysis of cable-stayed bridge based on Monte-Carlo stochastic FEM

In order to establish accurate stochastic finite element model, reliability analysis of long-span cable-stayed bridge should consider structure's geometrical non-linearity, system conversion during construction process and other influence. Traditional method to analyze load effect is not suitable to cable stayed bridge for it's redundancy character. Monte-Carlo stochastic FEM is appropriate, which can express the non-linear relationship between load and load effect factually. Load effects get by Monte-Carlo stochastic FEM are combined to different limit state. The time-dependent reliability index of cable-stayed bridge is calculated considering resistance deterioration. The results show that Monte-Carlo stochastic FEM is an efficient approach to analyze cable-stayed bridge's load effect and is accorded with engineering reliability assessment.
