Advances in studies on phenanthroindolizidine and phenanthroquinolizidine alkaloids

Phenanthroindolizidine and phenanthroquinolizidine alkaloids have attracted much attention because of their antitumor, antiamoebic, antibacterial, and antifungal activities. This paper summarizes the chemical structure, biological activities and sythesis of these two types of alkaloids.
