A comparison of the errors obtained with Whitney and linear edge elements

This presentation compares the accuracy of Whitney edge elements to linear edge elements. It is shown that by post processing the solution Whitney elements give similar rates of convergence on mesh refinement to linear edge elements and a consistently lower error.
