Enhanced coagulation of low turbidity and low temperature surface water by potassium permanganate composite pre-oxidation

Pilot scale experiments were carried out to find the principle of potassium permanganate composite (PPC) pre-oxidation enhanced coagulation for pollutants removal in low turbidity surface water during low temperature season. The results showed that significant enhanced coagulation effect can be achieved with PPC pre-oxidation. Furthermore, the small molecule organics were analyzed in this research and higher organic matters removal efficiency could be achieved in the PPC enhanced coagulation process.
