Researching the EPON technology in the intelligent communication network

The paper introduces the EPON network structure and protocol, and its key technologies, including uplink and downlink, ONU automatic discovery, DBA and other technology, gives an application example of EPON. Using the technology to construct the network, have some advantages: cost is relatively low, rate is high, expanded easily, the efficiency of match data business is high, so it become one of the main technology of access of fiber.
