NEUREX: An expert system for the diagnosis of neurogenic diseases of the inferior limbs

NEVREX is an expert system for the diagnosis of neurogenic diseases of inferior limbs which can be used as a tutor system. The system, following a dynamic evolving model "diagnosis-test planning-dlagnosis", allows to formulate diagnostic hypotheses, to localize the sites of lesion related to these hypotheses and to plan the optimal sequence of the instrumental tests for confirmation of the selected hypotheses.
