Instrumentation and sensor education-complacency?

This paper has sought to draw attention to the inadequate response to the needs of industry in the design of instrumentation and control syllabi. It has emphasised the need for a realisation that industry's adoption of digital data acquisition, processing and display has not been matched by the necessary expansion of content and integration of many electronic topics. It advocates adoption of digital data acquisition, data processing and display as a mainstream subject and an suitable vehicle for an extensive attainment of electronic knowledge.
