Development of a Speech Recognition Product for the Car

While a sophisticated speech recognition technology for automotive environment is considered as the key requirement for success in the car market, the immense effort for putting such a technology into a well-proven and well-designed product is often underestimated. This paper will show the main development phases for getting speech recognition technology to work in a car. It is based on experiences gathered in several development projects the products of which are currently in the market.
