HRSC-AX - high-resolution orthoimages and digital surface models for urban regions

Based on 6 years of successful airborne applications and technical development of airborne HRSC and on its unique properties, DLR is permanently improving processing methods from a practice-oriented viewpoint in order to optimize the quality of products applying automated data processing methods. In addition to a short review of the present status of the HRSC system, this paper addresses one of these development efforts, relevant to urban applications. This joint study of DLR and FPK GmbH on the integration of HRSC products and external vector information focuses on the enhancement of 2D representation and 3D visualization.
