Properties of Bleustein-Gulyaev waves in Li2B4O7 crystal

Properties of Bleustein-Gulyaev waves (BGW) in Li₂B₄O₇ crystal were determined from the measured parameters of a delay line with double electrode interdigital parameters, and from the measured center frequency and insertion loss at the third harmonic, the BGW free surface velocity and the square of the electromechanical coupling coefficient were determined as 4921 m/s and 0.0027, respectively. The BGW in Li₂B₄ O₇ crystal are very promising for high frequency filters and chemical sensor applications
