Decision Support Systems in clinical engineering

Decision Support Systems (DSS) are very important in clinical engineering (CE). The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of such systems that has been extensively and successfully used in many areas, including CE. In this paper, we provide an overview of different DSS and explain AHP in details. At the end, a case study using AHP for taking medical equipment scrapping/ retirement decision is presented.
