All-optical wavelength conversion based on a modified nonlinear polarization switch

All-optical wavelength converter (WC) is proposed and demonstrated based on a nonlinear polarization switch (NPS) followed by a SOA. The quality of the wavelength-converted signal can be improved by the SOA.
