Implementation of publication system of geological data using open source GIS

the geological data system of the Central Asia is built to share the multi-sources, heterogeneous geological information on-line. The authors design the overall frame, the architecture and a functional module of general structure for the system. It uses PostgreSQL and PostGIS as the background spatial database, and uses Java, JavaScript as programming language to implement the system based on GeoServer in secondary development method. The goal of providing and sharing geological data is achieved so that users can browse these data through web interface easily. It facilitates researches on earth science.
