Three-phase DFIG steady model and fast three-phase load flow algorithm for distribution power systems

This paper presents a new three-phase distribution power flow calculation approach incorporated with detailed three-phase doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) models. The steady characteristics of the DERs depend on the mechanism of the energy converters and primary movers as well as the control strategies of the controllers. The existed DFIGs' models used in distribution power flow are over simplified. In this paper, a revised DFIG model is proposed, which can consider various control strategies under balanced and unbalanced conditions. And a robust loop-analysis method based power flow algorithm incorporated these models is proposed. This method is also can be used to gain initial conditions for dynamic analysis
