Fire Risk Analysis of Subway Station Fire on Different Ventilation Modes

The subway fire increases with the development of city development. The subway fire accidents gradually increase, which cause great casualties and property losses. In order to study this problem, the main fire risk source was studied on experiment. Peak temperature of platform roof can reach to 170??? on Y=0 m, and most passengers will die within short time on natural ventilation condition as no any countermeasure is applied. The low visibility is 0.5m, and which can make evacuation speed descend to 0.8m/s. Peak temperature of platform roof only reaches to 40??? on Y=0m when mechanical smoke exhaust system were used to exhaust smoke in fire. The visibility and smoke movement velocity is larger than those on natural ventilation condition. The results show that the mechanical smoke exhaust system is important on subway fire, and which provide an effective method to control smoke.
