Missile's 3D Motion Graph Simulation

In a project that numerous perception sensors consisted of accelerometers and gyroscopes will be integrated into a MIMU (Micro Inertia Measurement Unit) to measure the missile’s 3D motion data. In order to improve the development process, secure the test phase, and also to watch the missile’s 3D motion remotely after the real missile sending experiment, a simulation environment is mandatory. This paper presented and implemented the simulation needs of the project, such as sky, terrain, launcher, shooting target, etc, and other special effects including missile plume, smoke and fragment, taking into account the missile motion characteristics under different initialize parameters. State of the art graphics and simulation environment are reviewed and related to the project’s requirements. At last, we use user defined trajectory data to implement the missile’s 3D motion process, and a real missile sending process is also simulated to validate the credibility and feasibility of the hardware test system. It is proved that the evaluation and design process is acceptable and met the project requirement.
