Decomposition projective method to accelerate the vector finite element solution of large scattering problems

Edge elements and a decomposition projective method are used to solve scattering problems of electrically large objects. A numerical example shows that approach is efficient for scattering from electrically large polygonal prisms and is very accurate at the sharp edges.
