Design of efficient MDI testing system

The MDI (Media Delivery Index) can indicate the instantaneous and longer-term behavior. The design of an efficient MDI testing system which can support different network interfaces is proposed. The class diagrams and the algorithms are represented. An alarm module is introduced in the system that will help to let administrators to know network problem immediately. The experience of an internal streaming service deployed in campus network shows the correctness and validity of the system design.
