Theory and practice of a fully controllable white noise generator

This paper describes a method and an apparatus generating white noise using feedback shift registers. We center on the problem of the minimum structure necessary for producing a white noise by multiplexing several registers with different initial states. We present a first model of this generator realized with FPGAs.
