Discussion and closure/comments on "Bare overhead transmission and distribution design overview"

The author comments on the paper by J.M. Hesterlee et. al. (see ibid., vol.32, no.5, 1996) and puts forward the following issues for their consideration: conductor costs, life expectancy, steel core coatings, and copper conductors. The original authors give replies to these issues.
