On the modular symbolic-numeric implementation of extended Kalman filters

A tool-set for the symbolic derivation of extended Kalman filters and the generation of numerical program code is presented and demonstrated. With regard to CACE (computer-aided control engineering) standardization, the tool-set's modularity and data exchange are discussed.
