User-tailored dissemination of road traffic information

Situation awareness is essential issue in both personal road navigation, and traffic management. The Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) have been introduced as a general solution for modern road transport management. Based in essence on the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), the ITS collects the information on road traffic status from various sources, creating a general situation awareness in near-real time. The situation awareness created within the ITS is exploited for various information and traffic management services.
