A method for reducing information systems with binary data by rough sets

We propose a new method of reducing information systems by converting given data into binary data. The proposed method can reduce not only the number of attributes but also the number of divisions of attributes. Since the number of divisions of some attributes can be reduced by this method, it is useful for discussing divisions of an attribute space.
