Influences to Effluent Quality by Sludge Reduction with Ozonation

To discuss the problem of excess sludge reduction, ozonation was used to treat sludge from aerotank.we studied influences to effluent COD, NH₃-N and TP by excess sludge reduction. Test indicated that specific desaturase activity of excess sludge decreased with oxidation time; in mixture of sludge and water after oxidation, SCOD increased with time extending; the removal rate of COD and TP had no obviously change,and the removal rate of NH₃-N increased a little when access sludge after oxidation was discharged into aerotank.
