VLSI-DLMs : A Structured Approach to Chip Architecture

VLSI design criteria suggest that Distributed Logic Memories (DLMs) offer an ideal alternative for micro-computer architecture. A string processing VLSI-DLM structure is outlined and its performance compared with a currently available microprocessor for a text processing application.
