Discussion on Preventing and Controlling Emergency Situation on Board

In order to protect human life, property and marine environment, it is necessary to improve crew's basic and professional skills, a sense of social responsibility, a good work ethic and an emergency response ability. From the point of view of crew training, the present study discuss on the effect of such factors as ship's emergency response procedure, individual crew member's emergency response and responsibility and assessment of security on board on preventing and controlling emergency situation. Human factors are emphasized to realize the safe operation of ship.
