A cost effective software for TV engineers, based on a block diagram simulation language

A new designed TV system modeling software, based on a modern simulator program, is described in this paper. The software is written in a block simulation language which makes the TV system development, analysis of performance, understanding and presentation much simpler than with a conventional computer language. It is designed as a desktop tool for television engineers, running on appropriately equipped PCs. A particular TV system can be easily created with the designed software, by graphically selecting with a mouse the required functional blocks from a specially designed and extensive library. The proposed software tool has shown to be very versatile, accurate and simple, for the design and analysis of performance of TV systems, allowing the simulation of any kind of measurements like differential gain, differential phase, linearity, incidental phase, group delay, etc.
