PID Control for Gearless Orbital Infnitely Variable Transmission

The control of a modeled new concept gearless Or-bital In…netely Variable Transmission (OIVT) is pre-sented. The concept and the mathematical modelwere used in order to apply a PID controller and ex-plore the behavior of the closed loop system. Thedesired trajectory is needed and implemented in or-der to achieve the control goal. The results showngood performance in di¤erent conditions of load anddirection and new questions arise in order to analyzefurther investigations for laboratory applications.
