Some new results on observability and stability of discrete-time autonomous systems

This paper studies discrete-time autonomous systems /spl Sigma/: x/sub k+1/=f(x/sub k/), y/sub k/=h(x/sub k/). We investigate the problem of when asymptotic stability of /spl Sigma/ can be characterized by means of zero-state observability of /spl Sigma/ and square summability of the output function h(x/sub k/). The relationship among observability, square summable series and stability of discrete-time autonomous systems is exposed.
