An Empirical Study of the Influence of Mutual Funds on Firm Performance

As an emerging force in corporate governance, institutional ownership is increasingly becoming a hot topic. As the main component of institutional investors, mutual funds grow quickly. The paper chooses part of our country's listed companies as the sample to study the relationship between mutual funds' ownership and firm performance from two aspects of market value and operating performance. The result shows that mutual funds' stock ownership has a positive effect on firm performance significantly.
