Recognition of the City's Centricity: A Density Estimation in the Commerce Arrangement

Centricity is the most significant characteristic of the cities. In this research, we perform a quantitative analysis on the centricity of the Jingzhou city in both the location and the hierarchy of the city centers by means of the kernel density estimate of GIS applications. The arrangement of the commerce in the urban planning of 2020 is also compared with the current (2008) city morphology to judge whether such arrangement is considerate and realizable.
