Numerical modeling of an integrated multi-sector antenna using the DG-FDTD method

The dual-grid finite-difference time-domain (DG-FDTD) method is applied to the simulation of an integrated multi-sector antenna. This antenna, which operates in the 5 GHz band, is integrated into a wireless television camera. The DG-FDTD method shows the disturbances that appear on both the S parameters and the radiation patterns of the antenna due to its environment. Simulation results are finally compared with far-field measurements.
