Linear matrix inequalities in integrated aircraft/controller design

This paper presents a new methodology to solve the problem of optimizing the plant parameters, such as control surface sizes of aircraft, while meeting open and closed-loop static and dynamic performance requirements. The basic approach is to rewrite the performance specifications as linear matrix inequalities.
