160 Gb/s all-optical contention resolution with prioritization using integrated photonic components

We present for the first time 160 Gb/s all-optical contention resolution with prioritization using integrated photonic devices. Error-free operation verifies that complex photonic systems are possible and could play a central role in future high-capacity networks.
