An overview of millimeter wave indoor wireless communication systems

With the growing demand of wireless facilities in mobile, indoor and personal communications for speech, data and image services, the millimeter (MM) frequency band appears to be a strong candidate for the future. To motivate researchers and technologists in the field of MM wave technology, an overview of MM wave communication systems is presented in this paper. Channel characteristics, protocols and system performance are described briefly.
