Study on 3D Annotation in Virtual Space for Collaboration

To support collaboration in 3D virtual space, a technology to express the intention directly between collaborators is required. For such method to express the intention the sketch is most effective and this is because the sketch is conventionally able to express the intention quickly, easily and intuitively. Also, the annotation entered through such sketch must enable easy and quick expression of contents as well as being able to deliver the content of the significance accurately even for the surfaces in various forms. Furthermore, the contents having 3D significance must also be expressed to be recognized in surfaces of various forms. In this thesis, the sketch annotation technique applying the sketch-box that can be entered at surfaces of various forms and this sketch-box is also able to deliver the contents having 3D significance effectively as 3D annotation.
