Modelling and testing of RFI filter for a trolleybus transistor inverter

This article discusses issues related to the design and simulation of an RFI filter for a trolleybus. Due to passenger safety requirements, Cy capacitors used in the filter must not have high capacity. That is why a special filter which meets those requirements has to be designed. Also presented in this paper are the laboratory and onboard tests of a prototype filter. Furthermore, a comparison is provided between the simulations and test results.
