Investigation of influencing factors in ozone generation using dielectric barrier discharge

Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) is now widely used in many areas, with very broad development prospects. Among the various methods of ozone synthesis, the dielectric barrier discharge is the main method in large-scale industrial ozone production. There are a lot of factors which have an effect on ozone synthesis using DBD for the purpose of improving ozone concentration and reducing energy consumption. Through changing the medium discharge factors, observations and testing of gas discharge and flow-discharge, it can be concluded that temperature has a deep effect on ozone synthesis, material of high dielectric constant and narrow electrodes gap are advantageous to ozone synthesis. According to the selected devices and the corresponding test conditions, voltage and gas flow rate have optimal values, which are 8500 Volt of voltage and 900 ml/min of gas flow speed in the present experiment. The electrical characteristics under different conditions and the influencing factors are analyzed and the experimental results will be useful for the next research work.
