Diffusion and solution of hydrogen isotopes in lithium-lead blanket materials

The diffusivity and solubility of deuterium in SiC powder and SiC fiber were measured by dissolution followed by desorption. They are smaller than that of NITE SiC monolithic. Sintering additive of NITE SiC is considered as the path of deuterium. The diffusivity and solubility for liquid Li₁₇Pb₈₃ were measured as a function of temperature. The activation energy is 42.4[kJ/mol]. The solubility depends on the square root of pressure.
