A Virtual Collaboration Design Environment Based on a Product-Oriented and User-Centred Computational Model

This paper presents the methods developed at the Design Technology Research Centre (DTRC) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for the development of a team coordination environment for product design using the Web-based Virtual Collaborative Design Environment Model. The methods presented in this paper are: Synchronized Reciprocal Design Studio, Asynchronous Reciprocal Design/Construction Studio, Direct Reciprocal Exchange of Schemes, Joint Debate, and Design Data Resources Supportability.
