Digital logic implementation of the quadricorrelators for frequency detector

In this paper, digital forms of the quadricorrelator, which is an ideal frequency detector, are presented. The proposed circuits consist of conventional digital logic devices without analog elements. Therefore, they have superior reliability in respect of component drift and aging effects. The frequency linear discrimination range can be adjusted from /spl plusmn/20% to /spl plusmn/100% with simple modifications.
