Baseefa-approved equipment. Its use in hazardous environments

The safety of components and equipment approved by the British Approvals Service for Electrical Equipment for use in Flammable Atmospheres (Baseefa) is well known, but beneath the Baseefa crown there lies a rigorous approvals procedure with many levels and aspects. This article looks at the legislation at the basis of the procedures and the use of approved equipment
