Far-field approximation in the Inverse Discrete Dipole Method (IDDM)

In this paper, it was shown that the inverse discrete dipole method with far-field approximation yield results comparable to the ones obtained with complete-field solution. The application of the far-field approximation does have a significant impact on computation time, where a speedup of two-hundred percent was observed.
